How it works
Start with your project scope, room details and desired work. Add a description and optional photos, then provide your contact information and review the project-sharing consent. The existing estimate flow returns an indicative planning range based on the information supplied.
518 Bathrooms and GuildWise help homeowners plan and connect with participating independent contractors. We do not perform construction work. Contractors confirm site conditions and selections before providing firm quotes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the instant estimate free?
Yes. The homeowner planning estimate is free. It is an indicative range, not a binding construction quote or a guarantee of final cost.
Do I have to wait for a contractor to call before seeing an estimate?
The existing tool is designed to return an instant planning estimate after submission. A firm contractor quote is a separate step requiring confirmation of the site and scope.
What information should I prepare?
Approximate room dimensions, what you want to keep or replace, visible condition, desired finishes and a project description help make the estimate more useful. Photos are optional and should avoid unrelated personal information.
Will contractors receive my request?
Before submission, the estimate flow requires you to review and accept the existing consent disclosure for this project. GuildWise may share the authorized project with up to 10 participating local contractors through the permitted channels. Read the full disclosure in the form before submitting.
Can I withdraw my request?
Yes. Use the Withdraw your request link with the Job ID supplied with your estimate, then follow the confirmation process.
Do you guarantee a contractor is available?
No. Participation and availability vary by project and location. A service-area page is a planning resource, not a guarantee of a contractor match.
Why could a contractor quote differ from the estimate?
A site visit can reveal hidden conditions and resolve material choices, access, permits and scope details that a planning estimate cannot fully confirm.
